Facebook professional profile or Page: which fits?

Choosing a Facebook professional profile or Page starts with identity: does this public presence represent a person or an organisation? They are different destinations. Clarify the distinction before planning content, sharing links or selecting a follower-related service.
A person-led public presence
Professional mode supports a public presence through a profile. It can suit a creator whose work centres on their own identity. Before changing how you publish, review which posts belong in your private life and which are intended for a public audience.
Do not make every personal post public simply to simplify the workflow. Check each post's audience and avoid exposing information that your professional activity does not require.
A separate space for a business
A Page represents a business, brand or organisation. If several people contribute, review the access options available and assign responsibilities deliberately. Sharing a password is not a good collaboration process.
Decide who answers messages, who prepares posts and who keeps business information accurate. Creating a Page does not automatically solve those operational questions.
Check the destination
Write down the public name, content purpose, responsible person and link you intend to share. Open that link and confirm whether it leads to the profile or the Page. Similar names can make a copied destination easy to confuse.
When considering a follower service, check which destination type the product supports. Profile followers and Page followers should not be treated as interchangeable options.
Do you need both?
Only if each has a distinct role that you can maintain. A person might share their professional process while a Page holds business information. Repeating everything in two places adds work without necessarily helping the audience.
Neither structure guarantees reach, monetisation or sales. Choose the setup that makes your identity and information easiest to understand, then review whether visitors can find what they need.
